Dog Crate question by stanchy24: Replace bottom of dog crate with plywood?
My dog has broken 3 plastic pans in the bottom of his crate. Has anyone ever just put a piece of plywood snug in there instead of the plastic pan? I really DONT want to buy a 4th replacement pan, too expensive.
Any suggestions are welcomed!
By the way, he is a 13 month old boxer.

I’d be hesitant to use plywood – your pup could easily damage it, and it’s too porous to really clean. Plus, if your boxer is chewing up the plastic, the plywood may splinter and cause internal damage.
You may be able to contact the manufacturer and tell them that you’re on pan #4 in 13 months — they may replace the for free or just shipping costs.
