HI, I need a lot of help with a new shop I am trying to build.
I already have my equipment and a bathing tub, tables, ect. so those are not included.
I am starting an at home grooming and boarding business. It will be small so I’m looking to build/buy a 32 x 16 building.
1st question…..I have a $ 12,000/ $ 15,000 budget on just the building is there a place where I can order a shop kit or would it be cheaper and better just to build it?

Dachshunds are elegant creatures, their short legs and elongated bodies make them quite a recognizable breed. This dog breed has a wide variety of colors, the most dominant of which is red along with black, tan, chocolate, silver, or cream. They come in one solid color, dappled or a combination of any two or three colors mentioned. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties; short-haired, wire-haired and the long-haired dachshunds. When it comes to dog grooming, the long-haired variety poses the most challenge and requires more special attention from their owners.
Long haired Dachshunds need regularly; they have soft, shiny, slightly wavy hair, which flags at the bottom, creating a dust sweeper effect. They have a fluffy, fine undercoat that is quite prone to shedding. The hair growth in their ears, their paws have thick hair and the undersides of their tail also tend to be longer and create a flag. This can easily get mopped and tangled if not given regular brushing and combing.

dog grooming question by okiegirl: DIY dog grooming. My dog is kinda mean, so I am being forced to do it myself?
I have a 6 year old male Shih Tzu. Everytime he goes to the groomer he gets scared and he growls and snaps. I had a groomer before that could deal with him, but I have since moved out of state. I have tried every groomer in the area where I live now, they either wont groom him at all or they call me in mid groom and say “Come get him, I cant work with this dog.” Or they charge me about 100$ over the normal price because they said he acted bad and took up to much of their time. So I have been forced to face the fact I am going to have to do this myself. I bought a dog grooming kit with shears, brushes and clippers. But I am confused about something, do I shave the dog before the bath? Or do I give him a bath, dry him then shave him? Or should I bathe him then shave while his hair is still wet? And please dont tell me this breed does not need to be shaved, I know that, but he just isnt happy when his hair is long. Any info and tips will help alot, thanks!
Answer by Dalai I’m a groomer of 10 years. Take him to a Vet that offers grooming. Have him stripped down nose to tail every 3 months and let them tranquilize him at first.It will either get better (where the dog is again OK with being handled by a groomer) or worse ( they will need to completely Anastasie the dog)I assume that either you didn’t take him for regular grooming from puppy hood (every 4 to 8 weeks) or he had a bad experience at the groomer.

Answer by LAURA POTTS you will a hightop roof van so that you stand up without bending your back! you can buy second hand dog grooming vans on ebay and gumtree ( second hand ones are alot cheaper ) the vans userlly come with with everthing in . dog grooming grooming equipment can be expensive, esp clippers, table, blades,blasters, bath, combs, dryers, brushes etc . the smallest type of van you can get is a Renault Trafic high top van, but you dont userlly see these convered nor see them around much.
