Buying Dog Clothes

Article by Brad Woodward

Buying Dog ClothesIn buying dog clothes there are several things to consider. Clothes for your dog may seem to some, a silly idea, or just something that only women buy to show off their dogs. But for some breeds it is almost mandatory that they be clothed. Those breeds don’t have hair are prone to the elements especially when they are outside. Keeping your hairless dogs warm and protected from the sun is important. Of course you want your dog to look good too and not just have any rag on them. When your hairless dog is in indoors, protecting them from sunburn when the sit in the window of your hose or car is also important. You will want your dog to have quality dog clothes too. Many places sell inexpensive clothes that look good but are not made very well. The material is too thin or rough on your dogs sensitive skin and the thread used in the seams is weak. That causes the seams to come apart in a very short time. The thin material won’t protect your dog from the harmful UV rays either. Then there is fashion. You will want your kids/dogs to look good when they go out and be dressed, as you are, for the occasion. But the clothes must be OK for the dog to wear. I saw a “Funniest Home Videos” show the other day where a dog was dressed in a wedding dress and had gone all over it, getting both the dress and the girl dressing him wet. I don’t think the person that made the dress had much experience in making dog clothes. They have to be made to allow the dog to relieve themselves without getting their outfit soiled. If you are making your own clothes for your dog they are different for male and female dogs. Please take that into account. Clothes can be fashionable and look good on your pup as well, whether you are carrying them or have them on a leash. A stylish dog collar and leash are a must here too.Of course you will want your outfits to be unique, made well and be a great value, and not cost as much as your own outfit. Those are hard to find all in one place so shopping around is definitely worth doing. It wouldn’t seem that buying dog clothes would be anything but just doing a search, finding a site and picking out what strikes your fancy and your pocketbook. But taking into account the quality of the cloths, the fashion, and the uniqueness of them will all add up to a great value. Just because it is expensive does not mean it is well made or that there isn’t a lot of other owners with the same item. We have all the above at Pup Designer Clothes.com

I have 3 kids/dogs of my own. I love dogs and have a web site to sell designer dog clothes.

I dont actually have a rabbit, but if i got one, i would totally do it. I am also planning on walking it on a leash. Dont say-well, just get a dog!-because the chances of me getting a dog are like one in a billion and the chances of me getting a rabbit are one in twenty.

Don’t put clothes on your pets. They’re animals, not DOLLS. If you want something you can dress up, get a Barbie.

Best dog clothes’ site
Dog Clothes

Having had dogs for a long time, and owning ones that are hairless, I realise how important it is to be able to get dogs’ coats forthem that is warm and cosy for them – beautiful dog clothingfor me. and not expensive! Maybe I am asking to much but one can only hope and pray and try. Which is the best dog clothes’ site?

It became vital to get some lovelydogs’ clothingfor my dogs when I ended up with two hairless dogs and a dog with very short furthat need a lot of dogs clothingto use when it is very coldand for protection against the elements and when they are playing and gambling, and then I saw an article in a newspaper about a new site just set up a month ago that a lady decided to do when she had trouble getting clothes for her own small dogs. So I had a look at this site clothing for dogs, ther was a huge choice, clothing in lots ofcolours, designs, styles, colours, because your doggy can be warm and comfortable WITHOUT looking boring and without it being expensive and costing loads of dosh.. You can see the site here For your designer dogs’ coats

A leading journalist said “designer dogs clothes fit for the catwalk, striking designs and colours”

Dogs’ clothing is very important if your dog can get too hot and maybe sunburnt in the summer. Dogs’ clothing is vital during the winter if your dog would be too cold otherwise. Itis not just about them looking pretty. Sometimes when the dogs are playing they do not mean to hurt each other but one can get scratched and a coat would prevent this.

Dogs that dont shed – Part 2

4599599233 5c6002e254 m Dogs that dont shed Part 2

It is worth noting that in the Kingdom of Canines, there is no such thing as a dog that does not shed fur. Every dog, despite its breed, sheds fur. However, much to the delight of those with pet allergies, there are a list of dogs who shed such little fur compared to other breeds that they are commonly referred to as “non-moulting dogs”.

Such breeds of dog renowned for their “non-moulting” abilities include the Bichon Frise, Bedlington Terrior, Poodle, Labradoodle, Cockapoo, Itlaian Greyhound, Airedale Terrier, the Miniature and Giant Schnauzer, Kerry Blue Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier and all breeds of hairless dogs, to name but a few!

The advantages of owning a “non-moulting” dog far outweigh the few disadvantages. Firstly, owning such a dog ensures that you, as the owner, will never have the dreaded task of endlessly cleaning up shed dog hairs which have a rather annoying habit of awkwardly placing themselves between carpet fibres!

Those with allergic reactions to animal fur may also find a “non-moulting” breed results in no or very little allergic response. This is because when no or very little hairs are shed, less allergens from the hairs’ proteins are released into the air. This is good news for those canine enthusiasts who, unfortunately for their allergy to pet allergens, are unable to own a dog as a household pet.

However, whilst “non-moulting” breeds are very practical from these points of view, one must bear in mind that these breeds require a more intense grooming regime than other breeds. This is because “non-moulting” fur is more likely to matt than fur which regularly moults. The Bichon Frise, for example, requires a once-daily brush over, as well as frequent trims. Curly-haired dogs, such as The Bichon Frise and Poodle, are more susceptible to tangles, which is not dissimilar to human hair. “Non-moulting” breeds are best suited to regular trips to the grooming parlour, unless the dog owner is very experienced in canine grooming. Regular grooming sessions can inevitably be quite costly, and so it is best to consider this before purchasing a “non-moulting” breed of dog.

In conclusion, “non-moulting” dogs make ideal pets for those prone to allergies, as well as those who do not particularly have the time or desire to continuously clean up shed dog hairs. The “non-moulting” breeds previously mentioned are also delightful breeds both in looks and in character. From the undeniably “adorable” traits of the Yorkshire Terrier through to the loyal, intelligent personality that is the Labradoodle, there is a “non-moulting” breed to suit very budding dog owner everywhere.

The Hypo-Allergenic Dog Myth!

If you are looking to buy or adopt a dog but have a dog allergy, please be aware despite popular uneducated belief, there is no such thing as a hypoallergnic dog.

The dog allergy is triggered by dander. Dander is made up of dead skin, saliva, and urine. Guess what – all dogs have all 3 of those things. Hence, no hypo-allergenic dog.

Fortunately, some dogs have dander that isn’t strewn around as easily as others. For example, a poodle doesn’t shed it’s hair like the majority of dogs. Poodles have fur like human hair – it grows. Yes, it falls out, as does mine, but the poodle doesn’t shed it’s coat yearly or biyearly (or constantly like one of my pups!). Plus, poodles are often groomed. All of this grooming plus not shedding gives their dander little opportunity to get all over your house and trigger your allergy. If this dog wasn’t groomed properly or if you had very severe allergies, you would definitely have an allergic reaction to this supposedly “hypoallergenic” dog.

Even hairless dogs have hair, skin, saliva, and urine. These dogs can trigger even more allergies because the hair is too fine to trap any of the dander.

I have a very mild allergy to dogs and I also have 6 dogs. Some of them do aggravate my allergies more than the others – especially as puppies. I was moderately allergic to one of my dogs when he was a puppy – I would even break out into hives where my more sensitive skin (inner arm, neck, face, etc) touched his fur. Now that he’s an adult dog, he doesn’t trigger my allergies at all.

My point, basically, is that if you are severly allergic to dogs, you may need to consider another pet. You won’t be happy when you are constantly having a severe allergy attack and you’ll be even more upset when you have to find your beloved pet a new home. Please don’t adopt or buy a dog unless you know it won’t trigger your allergies (some people may be able to find a breed or particular dog that doesn’t trigger so many allergies) or unless you know you can live the next 10-20 years suffering with your allergic reaction to the dog, even if it worsens.

There are millions of dogs that need great homes, yes. But, adopting a dog and later needing to find it another home because it’s triggering your allergies is contributing to the problem of homeless pets. Please do your research before adopting or buying any dog. If you have allergies, you may need to find another pet that will better suit your needs. Getting a dog just because you want one is not only selfish but it’s also very unfair to the dog.
