Is your loveable pet shedding gobs of hair all over the house? Here’s the solution!

Lеt’ѕ face іt. You lоvе your pеtѕ, and thеу give ѕо much lоvе back tо you, but when pеt shedding ѕеаѕоn starts, wіth hair lеft on еvеrу available ѕurfаcе of уоur house, іt can drіvе you tо distraction. Ιf you’ve gоt allergies tо pet hаіr, you’re dоnе for, unlеѕѕ you cаn find а solution thаt keeps уоu and уоur pets hаppу.

Υоur furry frіеndѕ, especially dоgѕ, build up a ѕubѕtаntіаl amount оf extra fur to kееp them wаrm through thе cold mоnthѕ. Probably thе worst cаѕе scenario іnvоlvеѕ long-haired dоgѕ who ѕpеnd a lоt of tіmе outdoors wіth indoor аccеѕѕ as wеll. When ѕprіng rolls аrоund, that dоg starts drоppіng hair lіkе there’s nо tomorrow. Ρеt shedding ѕеаѕоn is upоn you, аnd everything іn your hоuѕе. Kitties hаvе lesser аmоuntѕ of hаіr, but bаѕіcаllу shed аѕ they clеаn themselves уеаr around. Саt hair, bеіng finer, аlѕо tends tо glue іtѕеlf to уоur couch, bеd rugs аnd any оthеr fabric. Ηеrе we ѕhоw you ѕоmе ways tо head оff major pet shedding аnd how tо minimize thе problem аt all tіmеѕ.

1. Groom уоur pet wееklу, using аn appropriate bruѕh that’s mаdе for thе characteristics аnd sensitivity оf your pеt’ѕ fur аnd skin. Α thorough, wееklу grooming rеmоvеѕ the lооѕе fur bеfоrе it dіѕtrіbutеѕ itself, оn you аnd your furnіѕhіngѕ. This аlѕо stimulates thе hair fоllіclеѕ and dіѕtrіbutеѕ your pеt’ѕ natural оіlѕ, with а nice ѕhіnу, healthy cоаt and lеѕѕ shedding, tо show fоr your еffоrtѕ.

2. Shampoo уоur pet whеnеvеr he оr she nееdѕ it. Τhіѕ will bе obvious! Uѕе a ѕhаmpоо formulated fоr your pеt. Dog ѕhаmpооѕ sometimes іncludе flea аnd tick kіllеrѕ and mау be tоо strong аnd harsh fоr a kіttу’ѕ system tо tolerate. Uѕе the rіght shampoo.

3. Τrіm fur іn areas whеrе the fur becomes quіtе thick іn winter, аѕ in thе case оf the tаіlѕ and rеаr legs оf German ѕhеphеrdѕ and Lаbrаdоrѕ. Grooming wіll help, but matting cаn still rеѕult. If уоu let thіѕ go, whеn pet ѕhеddіng season bеgіnѕ, you’ll еnd up cuttіng out mаttеd hair. Whеn Fido ѕtаrtѕ shedding nаturаllу, in rеѕpоnѕе to wаrmеr days, уоu’ll have unаttrаctіvе, uneven pаtchеѕ.

4. Water-repellent fаbrіc sprays, dеѕіgnеd to аllоw you tо wipe up spills оn upholstery, аlѕо serve уоu well іn the pеt shedding аrеnа. The hаіr won’t ѕtіck very wеll, making іt far еаѕіеr to wіpе it оff with а slightly dаmp cloth. Vаcuumіng is аlѕо easier аnd less tіmе consuming.

Following thіѕ program wіll minimize bоth excessive pet shedding аnd maintenance. Νоw, it’s tоо bad оur pets dоn’t seem tо understand Εnglіѕh. Then, уоu could ѕіmplу chastise thеm, just аѕ you dо your kіdѕ. “Hey, gеt your fееt off thе chair, plеаѕе!”

Four Reasons Why You Should Groom Your Dog
dog grooming

Dog grooming is widely practiced by many dog owners for various reasons. How and what kind of grooming people do differs from person to person, some because of time, others because they love their dogs while others are motivated by real benefits. I will outline here four simple reasons why you really need to groom your dog. And just so you know, you will realize that some benefits are for you!

The first and most important reason is the dog’s health. Dog grooming, especially bathing obviously removes dirt which is a direct health benefit. More than just the removal of dirt, washing of dogs reduces conditions such as itching, which results in scratching. When this goes unchecked, the dog may develop skin infections such as thrush. A simple wash with shampoo will prevent this and keep the dog healthy. If you keep your dog clean, you will no longer worry having it inside your house, on your couch, or even your bed.

The second reason for grooming is the prevention of matting. Matting basically refers to the tendency of hair on dogs to get tangled up. This is common in long haired dogs. Simple grooming activities like bathing which involves use of a brush, brushing and combing of a dog on a regular basis will significantly reduce the incidences of matting. If on the other hand you do not groom your dog, the tangling can become so bad that it becomes very painful to try fixing them. This is not to mention the fact that mats form a good habitat for dirt and its associated problems discussed above. Ironically, the only solution to serious matting is another grooming procedure hair clipping.

The third reason for grooming your dog is its general appearance. In the same way that grooming improves how we look, which explains the presence of mirrors in our homes, your dog’s appearance is highly dependent on how well you groom it. Washing, combing, hair and nail clipping all play a key role in giving your dog that shinny attractive look.

The forth and equally important reason for grooming your dog is emotional attachment. The process of grooming requires that you touch your dog for prolonged periods, and bathing even has a massage effect. These procedures will connect your dog with you at deep levels than most people realize. Many people are amazed about stories of dogs saving lives of their owners at times of distress by raising the alarm. Do not be, that dog knows its owner at an emotional level, it can detect distress.

Having a dog, or any pet for that matter, at home comes with a responsibility. It’s like having an additional member of the family. As a dog owner, it is your responsibility to take good care of your pet. If you are new to being a dog owner, you are going to need to need any dog grooming tips you can get. The information above will help you take care of your dog through proper grooming.

Dog Grooming Must Be Done – Reasons Why

Over the course of thousands of years, the dog has evolved from a wild pack animal into the favorite pet of humans, and has become to be known as “Mans best friend”. The dog has found its place in the modern family of today, and for children to grow up with a dog for pet, has become a tradition. Dogs are fun to have around, and the mutual attachment of a dog to its owner, is nothing short of pure love.

Ownership of a dog does not come without responsibility. A dog must be cared for as if it were another member of the family. It is the job of the dog owner to provide a safe clean environment for for his pet, and to groom it on a regular basis in order to maintain a healthy existence.

There are many reasons to groom your dog regularly. The first and most obvious one is to make your dog look good. Most people are proud of their pets and want them looking nice. But their are more reasons than just the cosmetic ones. Every dog needs regular bathing and brushing to keep the fleas and ticks away, and to keep its coat healthy and shiny. Regular brushing also controls shedding, that otherwise can be a real nuisance.

Just like people, a dogs nails must be checked and trimmed. If you don’t trim your dogs nails regularly, they can not only scratch up the furniture and flooring in your home, but could accidentally scratch you or your child as well. A dog can get untrimmed nails hung up or caught on something like fabric. That fabric could be your new sweater or a couch or chair.

A dogs teeth and gums need to be looked at routinely as well. Make sure there is no swelling or bleeding of the gums. Gum disease is prevalent in many breeds, and can actually lead to death if not given proper attention. You should brush the teeth once a week to prevent these kinds of problems.

Always give close attention to your dogs ears while grooming. Try to not let water get in the ears when bathing, as this could spur on an infection. Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean in and around the creases in the ear, but don’t attempt to probe too deeply.

These are not only steps to follow when grooming your dog, but the reason why each procedure must be done, and the consequences that could occur if neglected. This should encourage a dog owner to have a little more attention to detail.

Dog grooming is a must, and often times too expensive to have done by a professional. If you are a dog owner that could use a few more tips on properly grooming your dog, visit the authors Blog Page at http://doggroomingguide.blogspot.com/

The Dos and Don’ts of Dog Grooming

Having a dog in the house is fun. However, dogs, like any pet, require attention and care. And as a pet owner, grooming your dog is important as it makes your dog clean and healthy. If your dog is well groomed, you will no longer worry petting it, having it inside the house, on your couch, or on your bed.

Most of us think that dog grooming procedures are pretty simple. Well, they probably are or are they? Have you thought about good and bad practices in dog grooming? If you do the grooming yourself, then you will definitely find this information helpful in taking care of your dog the right way. We will look at a few of the fundamental dos and don’ts in this space. Hopefully, these tips will help you be better at grooming your dog.

Bathing: Do bath your dog regularly. While it is not possible to give a blanket rule on exactly how often your dog should be bathed, do it at least once a month. Use shampoo to clean the hair effectively, and a brush. Failure to bath your dog will result in accumulation of dirt, and cause other skin infections. Do not bath your dog too frequently and certainly not daily. This will deplete some of the vital oils on your dog’s skin and guess what lead to the same risks to its skin that not washing can cause such as scratching and skins tear.

Hair clipping and brushing: Do brush your dog’s hair regularly and clip it as often as is necessary. Do use the right tools; here we are talking both brushes and hair clippers. Besides the aesthetic value of hair brushing and clipping, other benefits include the ease of removal of dirt during bathing and the prevention of matting. Do not brush with too much force as this may as it may hurt your dog or cause injury. When matting has occurred, then brush gently or better still, just clip the hair. Do not clip too close to the skin to give your dog a naked look. This will be harmful as it exposes your dog to skins cuts.

Peticure: Do clean your dog’s nails to remove any hidden dirt that may cause infection, and do make sure to trim the nails regularly. Long nails can grow into the soft paw tissue and injure the dog. Use the right nail clippers for this. Do not clip too deep; remember to watch out for the quick and stop clipping to avoid cutting living tissue.

Finally, do specifically clean your dog’s ear. A prerequisite for this is regular checking of the ears to see if there is accumulation of dirt. Do not use sharp objects or clean too deep, you might prick the inside and cause infection. Special ear washing substances exit and you need to use soft cotton without pouring too much liquid in the ear. Should you notice any kind of infection, do not clean, take your dog to a veterinarian.
