I purchased this Puppia harness for my Boston Terrier who likes to pull while walking on the leash. The harness does not stop the pulling, but at least it put an end to the embarrassing choking noises. My dog does not mind wearing the harness, as it is very soft and comfortable. To top it off, I think it is quite stylish. I am completely happy with my purchase. I would recommend this harness to others who have a small dog.

I have tried several different harnesses on my two Bichons. Either they wear out quickly or don’t stand up to being washed, or both. The Puppia harness is durable, does not choke, easy to put on and take off and my dogs are perfectly happy to keep it on for a few hours if needed. They do not try to chew it like they have some others.

I highly recommend this harness.

My dog is reasonably well behaved but the instant he sees another dog when we’re out walking he pulls so hard I’m afraid he’s going to damage my shoulders. I tried several different anti-pulling harnesses and collars and this one worked perfectly! At one point I tried the Gentle Leader head collar, but my dog hated having something on his face so this harness version was much better for him. Since the leash attaches at the dog’s chest and contracts if the dog pulls, there are two benefits: (1) When the dog pulls, the harness contracts around the front legs making walking awkward so it breaks their attention on whatever they were pulling towards, and (2) since the leash attaches at the chest, when the dog pulls it snaps him around to face you which gives you a chance to correct him and redirect his attention. Ultimately, the dog’s weight works against him versus the owner having to pull back. Now when my dog sees another dog and goes to pull, he immediately stops and rethinks that move since he’s instantly pulled around to face me, without me having to do anything at all. A wonderful tool!

I heard about this product on the Cool Tools blog and was pretty interested. I had tried the Gentle Leader that wraps around a dogs head, but my dog hated it (I didn’t like it much either) and would refuse to wear it.

I tried this one after my dog was slightly injured my a neighbors dog and the vet suggested we avoid any pressure on her neck for a while. This worked immediately and my dog loves it!!

It works very well for limiting her from pulling during a normal walk. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s not quite as good as a standard collar as far as keeping her inline when we are just standing around talking to people as it doesn’t really control her head at all. At the same time I’m not restraining her neck and “pulling” on her which I’ve always hated.

I would highly recommend it for anyone that has a dog that tries to pull a little too much.

Do yourself and your dog a favor and start using these great harnesses.

Our little Yorkie had a ruptured disc that the Vet discovered it was caused by the use of a neck collar and he recommended we use these soft harnesses for him.

We have 3 little dogs and they all use these now. Once you get the hang of it they go on easily, they are

very comfortable and the dogs have plenty of freedom for movement.

Think of how your neck and spine would suffer if YOU were pulled around by your neck everyday, these

harnesses put pressure around the chest and not the neck when pulled.

This Puppia soft dog harness is the perfect harness for my MinPin. She has managed to twist all of the traditional harnesses, which causes her to walk sideways and stumble. This harness fits perfectly. There are no tension points or kinks. You cannot put it on incorrectly, as I have done with traditional harnesses. It is “dummy proof.” I would only recommend that if your dog is on the border of two sizes, choose the next size up. You can always adjust down a bit.

Puppia harnesses are the best your dog can wear. The doggies don’t strain against narrow bands while walking and it is easy on their little chests. Seems to prevent trachea collapse, often seen in small dogs when walking.

I have two dogs and they both have a Puppia harness in small. I first bought it for my 8 year-old, nine-pound dachshund with a bad back. I was worried about injuring her back with a collar and leash, and then loved it so much I bought one for my new puppy a 6 pound, poodle/schnauzer mix.

Both dogs fit a size small, as it measured around the neck and the chest is adjustable. I expect that my puppy will not need to size up, as she has a little room to grow, but it still fits comfortably on her now. The material is soft and the harnesses wash up nice. Both dogs get very excited when we pull the harnesses out and love to take walks with them on. They are very cute and look like the dogs are wearing adorable little pink vests. The pink is very pink and saturated, if you’re not a pink person, I would recommend the blue.

This is a very well made, comfortable harness. Both my small dogs wear this Puppia model (in different sizes) and they have worked out very well, even as car safety harnesses.

However: BEWARE OF THE SIZE CHARTS — what the chart calls “neck size” is the actual size of the opening.

This is the same opening through which the head must pass. Basically, you need to measure the dog’s head diameter and look THAT up in the chart’s “neck size” column to choose the right harness size.

I bought this harness in pink and in sky blue for my miniature pinscher. For some reason these have slight sizing variations, although both were ordered in x-small. The pink one fits my dog perfectly, but the sky blue one is slightly tighter around the neck.

In any case, I am very happy with this harness. I know for sure there is no way my dog can wiggle out of it, as agitated as she tends to be. The mesh seems to be pretty comfortable. She never complains about having it on, and sleeps with it. I don’t take it off unless it is to wash it or to change colors or just wear a collar. It is well sewn and constructed – doesn’t feel cheap at all.

In terms of fit, the x-small fits her perfectly. She is a 3.5 month old miniature pinscher, about 10 inches high and 11 inches long.. about 9ish inches around the neck. This fits her snugly and comfortably. Hope that helps any min-pin owners get an idea of size.

I definitely recommend this harness for a hyper dog who likes to try and wiggle out of harnesses, cause there is no chance of that happening with this one! It’s also very cute.

I am very pleased with this product! It’s lightweight, breathable fabric is comfortable on the dog, easy to put on/take off (you need a Ph.D. to figure out SOME harnesses), low easy-to-care for maintenance, etc. I ordered 2 (med & large) for my Westie’s (pink for the girl and black for the boy). I was a little nervous about sizing because my girl is very small (she was the runt) and my boy is pretty big, but I followed the chart on the site and the results were perfect. I’ve also rec’d a lot of compliments and inquiries about their harnesses. OAN, Happy Dog Place is about a buck or 2 cheaper for the exact same product than most sites I’ve found. The one thing that I do NOT like is the “standard” shipping. I wish they offered add’l shipping options for those of us who hate to wait. However, don’t let the wait scare you. If you’ve got sm/med dogs you have to walk several times a day in a hot climate like ATL then this is more than worth the wait.

THIS HARNESS IS GREAT. IT FITS MY YORKIE PERFECTLY. SHE IS 7 MOS. OLD & 5.5 LBS SO I BOUGHT HER A SMALL & IT IS GREAT. BELIEVE ME SHE HATES WEARING ANYTHING & WHEN I PUT THIS HARNESS ON HER SHE OF COURSE PULLED AT IT FOR A MINUTE, BUT THEN SHE WAS FINE. SHE HAS DONE HER BUSINESS WHILE WEARING IT, WHICH IS MAKING ME VERY HAPPY. IT MAKES OUT WALKS SO MUCH EASIER NOW & NOTHING IS IS PULLING ON HER NECK. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TO PUPPY OWNERS. PAY ATTENTION TO THE WEIGHT OF YOUR DOG WHEN CHOOSING THE SIZE.
